Julian Francis

Julian Francis is a highly respected leader in the financial and business sectors. As a former Governor of The Central Bank of The Bahamas, he played a critical role in shaping the nation’s financial policies.
He serves as Chairman for Simplified Lending and has a diverse business background in finance, including a long, prestigious career in private banking. He commenced his career at Barclays Bank, later holding titles of Assistant Vice President at SFE Banking Corporation and Joint General Manager at Banque De La Société Financière Européenne in Paris, France.
He also served as Chairman of the Bridge Authority and Deputy Chairman at the Securities Commission. After his tenure at the Securities Commission, Mr. Francis moved to the Central Bank of The Bahamas as Deputy Governor and eventually became the Governor of the Central Bank. Julian holds a BSc. in Finance from New York University.
Currently, Julian serves as Chairman of a major publicly traded company in The Bahamas and is a director of several financial institutions. His extensive experience and strategic insight have made him one of the most influential business minds in the country.
